ARC386 – Landscape Ecology
Instructor: Fadi Masoud
Fall 2021
This course was an introduction to the principles of landscape ecology, addressing the application of evolving scientific understanding to contemporary landscape architecture and urban design practice. Each week various elemental ecological paradigms and concepts are introduced and paired with a series of seminal works of urbanism and landscape architecture. The main objective of this project was to demonstrate the past, present and future pollution in Montego Bay based on research, current infrastructure and practices that could potentially change factors. Reflecting on different types of pollution, we can begin to understand how our actions impact atmospheric conditions which further impacts climate change throughout this study.
